Thomas Evans, D.O.
Thomas Evans D.O. is a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology who joined Dermatology & Laser Associates of Medford in the summer of 2021.
Dr. Evans completed his undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech, graduating in 2007 with a double major in Microbiology/Immunology and Psychology. He earned his medical degree at the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011 and completed his internship at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia. Dr. Evans then served as the flight surgeon providing primary care for pilots and crew in the United States Marine Corps at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. He was deployed for one tour to Afghanistan.
In 2018, Dr. Evans completed his dermatology residency at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where he served as Chief Resident. He received outstanding training in general, pediatric, surgical, pathologic, cosmetic, and light-based facets of dermatology. In addition to publishing multiple papers in the medical literature, he has presented at Dermatology Grand Rounds at the National Institutes of Health and at national conferences. Dr. Evans’ clinical interests include general dermatology with an emphasis on surgery, cosmetics, scars, and skin cancer.
Dr. Evans grew up in Blacksburg, Virginia. He was a scholar varsity athlete in swimming for Virginia Tech. He is married with two children and enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, snowboarding, and camping. Thanks to his humility, sense of humor, and Naval experience, Dr. Evans cultivates lasting relationships with his patients.
