Dr. Naversen graduated from Ohio State Medical School in 1973, completed his internal medicine internship in San Antonio in 1974, and enjoyed his three year dermatology residency at the University of California at San Francisco from 1974-1977. Dr. Naversen was the chief resident in dermatology his third year at UCSF. After practicing in the Air Force at Anchorage, Alaska, he moved his wife and three children to Oregon in 1982.
Leon Hsu, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist who joined Dermatology & Laser Associates of Medford, LLP in September 2016. Dr. Hsu completed his dermatology residency at Stanford University in June 2016. He earned his undergraduate degree at Stanford University and his medical degree from the University of California, Davis, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his leadership and compassionate care of patients. He then completed his medical internship in New York City at Memorial Sloan Cancer Center, where he was awarded Physician Intern of the Year.
Laurel Naversen Geraghty, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist who joined Dermatology & Laser Associates, LLP in October 2016. Dr. Geraghty (pronounced “Garrity”) completed her dermatology residency at Stanford University in 2016, earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 2012, and completed her undergraduate studies at Brown University. Prior to pursuing a career in medicine, she worked in New York City as a writer and editor, and served as Senior Editor at Glamour magazine.
J. Sigrid Barklund, M.D. is a board certified dermatologist and micrographic dermatologic surgeon (Mohs surgeon) who joined Dermatology & Laser Associates of Medford, LLP in September 2020. Dr. Barklund grew up in Southeast Idaho and attended The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN for her undergraduate studies. She graduated as valedictorian with a double major in chemistry and philosophy and subsequently moved to Southern California for graduate school at the California Institute of Technology.
Thomas Evans D.O. is a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology who will join Dermatology & Laser Associates of Medford in the summer of 2021. Dr. Evans completed his undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech, graduating in 2007 with a double major in Microbiology/Immunology and Psychology. He earned his medical degree at the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011 and completed his internship at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia.
Hannah Song, M.D. is a board-eligible dermatologist who will be joining Dermatology & Laser Associates of Medford, LLP in the Fall of 2022. Dr. Song grew up in the Bay Area and graduated magna cum laude from Williams College in Western Massachusetts where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English. She earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, and completed a pediatric internship at the Massachusetts General Hospital for Children. She completed dermatology residency at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Program, where she served as Chief Resident.
Kate Kimes, D.O. is a board-certified dermatologist who will join Dermatology & Laser Associates of Medford, LLP, in the summer of 2023. Dr. Kimes graduated magna cum laude from Whitworth University in Spokane, WA. She then attended Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she graduated as valedictorian and was inducted into the Osteopathic Honor Society, Sigma Sigma Phi. Dr. Kimes completed her internship and dermatology residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. She served as chief resident in her final year of residency and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Arielle Gray is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon who will join Dermatology & Laser Associates of Medford in summer 2023. Dr. Gray graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Neuroscience, and completed her medical school training at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and the Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Societies. She completed her internship at Presence Resurrection Medical Center located in Chicago, Illinois, and Dermatology Residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Gray completed her fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
